Psalm: 107
Iconography: David, wearing his crown holds a book with the words Arise psalterium….Galaad is mine and manasses is mine. He points to a building. St Jerome associated the words Arise psalterium with the monastic Opus Dei: monks should praise God with psaltery and harp (PL, xxvi, 1150). David points to the church where the service should take place. Jerome explains that Galaad means migration (the conversion of the Christian soul), while Manasses means from oblivion (souls not forgotten but saved by God). Those who praise God will be converted and saved. (AP, 245-6)
