Translationand the princes met together: against the lord and against his anointed
one./ Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us throw down their yoke
from us./ He who lives in heaven shall laugh at them and the lord/ shall
mock them./ Then he shall speak to them in his anger: and throw them in/to
confusion in his rage./ But I am appointed king by him over/ sion his
holy mountain preaching his commandment./ The lord said to me you are
my son: I/ today have begotten you./ Ask of me and I will give to you
the nations for your inheri/tance: and the ends of the earth for your
possession./ You shall rule them as an iron rod: and you shall break them
in pieces like a potter’s vessel./ And now you kings understand:
take instruction/ who judge the earth./ Serve the lord in fear: and rejoice
in him / with trembling./ Embrace discipline lest the lord ever be angry/
and you perish from the just way. |
