TranslationPsalm 55Have mercy on me god HAVE MERCY/ on me god because/ man has trampled me underfoot: all the day/ attacking/ he has afflicted me./ My enemies have trampled me underfoot/ all the day: because they are many that war against me./ From the height of the day I shall fear: but I will hope in you./ In god will I praise my words:/ in god have I hoped I will not fear what flesh may do to me./ All the day they detested my words against me all their plans are in evil./ They will dwell and hide:/ they will observe my heels. As they have waited for my soul for nothing shall you save/ them: in wrath you will break peoples in pieces./ God I have shown my life to you: you have set/ my tears in your sight./ As also in your promise:/ |
