TranslationFor my brothers and my neighbours’ sakes:/ I spoke peace of you./ For the house of the lord our god:/ I have sought good things for you./Psalm 122 Behold as the eyes of the servants I HAVE LIFTED UP/ my eyes to you:/ who dwell in heaven./ Behold as the eyes/ of servants: are on the hands/ of their masters./ As the eyes/ of the handmaid are on the hands/ of her mistress: so/ are our eyes [look] to the lord our god until/ he has mercy on us./ Have mercy on us lord have mercy on us:/ because we are greatly filled with contempt./ Because our soul is greatly filled:/ [we are] a reproach to the rich and the contempt of the proud./ |
