Psalm: 15
Iconography: The psalmist, blessed with a halo, presents a chalice to God. The words of the caption 'The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my chalice' are those spoken by the abbot and repeated by the monk when he receives his tonsure. The monk who has forsaken the world can claim his spiritual inheritance.
