Translation

and given birth to iniquity./ He has opened a pit and dug it up: and he is fallen/ into the pit that he has made./ His sorrow shall be turned on his own head: and his wickedness shall come down upon the crown of his head./ I will acknowledge the lord according to his justice: and will play the lyre and sing/ to the name of the lord most high./


Psalm 8
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings
LORD OUR LORD:/ how marvellous/ is your name in the whole earth./ Because your greatness/ is elevated/ above the heavens./ Out of the mouth of infants/ and of sucklings you have perfected praise on account of/ your enemies: that you may destroy the enemy and avenger./ Because I shall see your heavens the works of your fingers:/ the moon and stars which you have founded./ What is man that you are mindful of him:/

et peperit iniquitatem. / Lacum aperuit et effodit eu[m]: et incidit / in foveam quam fecit. / Convertetur dolor ei[us] in caput ei[us]: et in vertice[m] / ipsius iniquitas ei[us] descendet. / Confitebor d[omi]no s[e]c[un]d[u]m iusticia[m] eius: et psalla[m] / nomini domini altissimi. /
