Translationdark waters in the clouds of the air./ At the brightness in his sight the clouds passed by:/ hail and coals of fire./ And the Lord thundered from heaven: and the most high gave/ his voice: hail and coals of fire./ And he sent his arrows and he scattered them:/ he multiplied lightning and troubled them./ And the fountains of waters appeared: and the foundations of the world were uncovered./ At your rebuke lord: at the breath/ of the spirit of your wrath./ He sent from on high and took me:/ he received me out of many waters./ He delivered me from my very strong enemies: / and from those who hated me because they were strong over me./ They came before me in the day of my torment:/ and the lord was made my protector./ And he brought me out into a wide [place]: he saved me/ because he wanted me./ And the lord will reward me according to my justice:/ and according to the purity of my hands he will reward me./ Because I have kept the ways of the lord:/ |
