Translation

Praising I will call upon the lord: and from my enemies/ I shall be saved./ The sorrows of death surrounded me:/ and the tor/ments of injustice troubled me./ The sorrows of hell surrounded me:/ and the snares of death take me by surprise. In my affliction I have called upon the lord:/ and I have cried to my god./ And he heard my voice from his holy temple:/ and my cry in his sight: entered into his ears./ The earth was shaken and trembled: the foundations/ of mountains were thrown into confusion: and were shaken./ Because he was angry with them./ Smoke arose in his wrath: and fire blazed up from his face: coals were kindled from him./ He bowed the heavens and descended:/ and darkness [was] beneath his feet./ And he ascended upon the cherubim and flew:/ he flew upon the wings of winds./ And he lay down [in] darkness [in] his hiding place:/ his tent is round about him:/
