TranslationThe earth is melted and all that dwell in it:/ I have strengthened its pillars thereof./ I said to the wicked do not go wickedly: and to them/ that offend exalt not the horn./ Do not lift high your horn [be arrogant]:/ do not speak iniquity against god./ For neither from the east nor from the west nor/ from the desert mountains because god is judge./ This one he humbles and this one he exalts:/ because there is a wine cup of pure wine fully mixed in the hand of our lord./ And he has poured it out of this into that but yet/ its dregs are not emptied all the sinners of the earth shall drink./ But I will declare for ever:/ I will sing to the god of iacob./ And I will break all the horn trumpets of sinners: and the horn trumpets of the just shall be exalted./ |
