Translationplay to our god on the cythera./ Who covered the heavens with clouds: and prepares rain for the earth./ Who brings forth grass in the mountains:/ and vegetation for the service of men./ Who gives beasts their food:/ and the young ravens that call upon him./ He shall not have pleasure in the strength of a horse: nor shall he be well pleased in the legs of man./ The lord is well pleased towards those who fear him/ and in those who hope in his mercy./Psalm 147 Who sends forth his eloquent speech to the earth PRAISE The lord/ IERUSALEM: praise your god/ sion./ Because he has strengthened the bolts of your gates:/ he has blessed your children within you./ Who has set peace in your borders:/ and filled you with ripe corn./ Who sends forth his eloquent speech to the earth:/ his word runs swiftly./ Who gives snow like wool/ |
