Translationin the blast of your frenzy the waters were gathered together./ The flowing waves rose: the depths were gathered together in the midst of the sea./ The enemy said I will pursue and seize: I will divide the spoils my soul shall have its fill [of them]./ I will unsheathe my sword: my hand shall kill them./ Your wind blew and the sea covered them:/ they sank like lead in the mighty waters./ Who Lord is like you in strength: who is like you glorious in holiness: terrible and praiseworthy./ and doing wonders./ You stretched out your hand: and the earth swallowed them./ You have been a leader:/ to the people whom you have redeemed in mercy./ And you have carried them in your strength: to your holy dwelling place./ The people rose up and were angry: sorrows took hold of the inhabitants of philistiim./ Then the princes of aedom were troubled: shaking took hold of the élite men of moab: all the inhabitants of chanaan stiffened./ |
