TranslationWhy lord have you retreated far off: you despise [us] in our wants in [our] trouble./ Whilst the wicked man is proud the poor is set on fire:/ they are caught in the counsels which they devise. Because the sinner is praised in the desires of his / soul: and the unjust man is blessed./ The sinner has provoked the lord: according to the great/ness of his wrath he will not seek [him]. God is not in his sight: his ways are/ defiled at all times./ Your judgements are taken away from his sight:/ he shall rule over all his enemies. For he has said in his heart: I will not be moved from gen/eration to generation [and shall be] without evil./ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitter/ness and deceit: under his tongue hardship and sorrow./ He sits in ambush with the rich in secret places:/ that he may kill the innocent./ His eyes look back at the poor: he lies/ in ambush in concealment like a lion in his den./ He lies in ambush so that he may carry off the poor man: to carry off/ the poor man while he drags him by force./

Q[uonia]m laudatur peccator indesideriis anim[a]e / su[a]e: et iniquus benedicitur. / Exacerbavit d[omi]ne peccator: s[e]c[un]d[um] multi/tudine[m] ir[a]e su[a]e non queret.
