TranslationHe will bring him down in his snare: he will sink/ and fall when he shall have power over the poor./ For he said in his heart god has forgotten: he has turned away his face not to see for ever./ Arise lord god and let your hand be exalted:/ do not forget the poor./ How have the wicked provoked god:/ for he said in his heart he will not enquire. You see that you contemplate work and sorrow:/ so that you may deliver them into your hands./ To you the poor man is left:/ you will be a helper to the orphan./ Break the arm of the sinner and the ill natured:/ his sin shall be sought and shall not be found./ The Lord shall reign for eternity and for ever and ever:/ the nations will perish from his land./ The Lord has heard the desire of the poor: your ear has heard the preparation of their heart. To judge for the orphan and the lowly: so that man may no more reckon to esteem himself highly upon the earth./
