Translationproceed: let your
eyes see fair dealings./ You have proved my heart and visited it by night:
by fire / you have tried me and injustice is not found in me./ That my
mouth may not speak the works of men:/ on account of the words of your
lips/ I have kept hard ways./ Perfect my steps in your paths: that my/
footsteps not be moved./ I have cried because you have heard me god: incline/
your ear to me and hear my words./ Make your mercies marvellous: who saved
those who trust in you./ From those that resist your right hand: keep
me/ as the pupil of the eye./ Protect me under the shadow of your wings:/
from the face of the wicked who have afflicted me./ My enemies have surrounded
my soul:/ they have shut up their fat [abundance]:/ their mouth has spoken
pride./ Casting me forth now they have surrounded me:/ they have set their
eyes to turn aside to the earth./ They have caught me like a lion ready
to the prey:/
