TranslationBecause you shall give him in blessing for ever and ever:/ you shall make him glad in joy with your countenance./ Because the king hopes in the lord: and in the mercy/ of the most high he shall not be moved./ Let your hand be found by all your enemies:/ let your right hand find out all that hate you./ You shall place them like a furnace of fire in the time/ of your countenance: the lord in his anger shall trouble/ them./ And fire shall devour them./ You shall destroy their fruit from the land:/ and their seed from the children of men./ Because they have turned evils on you: they have devised/ counsels which they have not been able to establish./ Because you shall put them back; in your remnants you shall prepare their countenance./ Be exalted lord in your strength; we will chant/ and sing your powers./ |
