TranslationPsalm 31With bit and bridle that bind fast their jaws BLESSED ARE THEY/ whose iniquities are forgiven:/ and whose sins are hidden./ Blessed is the man to whom the lord/ has not ascribed/ sin: neither is there/ guile in his spirit./ Because I was silent my bones are grown old: while I cried/ all the day./ Because day and night your hand/ is weighed down upon me:/ I am turned around in my trouble/ whilst the thorn is fastened./ My offence I have made known to you:/ and my injustices I have not concealed./ I said I will confess against me my injustice/ to the lord: and you have forgiven the wickedness of my sin./ For this shall every holy one pray to you: in opportune time./ |
