Translationwhich regulate his will concerning sacrifices./ And the heavens shall declare his justice:/ because god is judge./ Hear my people and I will speak israhel and I will testify to you/ I am god your god./ I will not denounce you in your sacrifices: and your burnt offerings/ are in my sight always./ I will not take calves out of your house:/ nor he-goats out of your flocks./ Because all the wild beasts of the woods are mine:/ the cattle in the mountains and oxen./ I have known all the winged creatures of the air:/ and the beauty of the field is with me./ If I shall be hungry I will not tell you:/ for the round earth is mine and all that fills it./ Will I eat the flesh of bulls:/ or will I drink the blood of he-goats./ Sacrifice to god the sacrifice of praise:/ and pay your vows to the highest./ And call upon me in the day of tribulation: I will deliver you and you shall glorify me./ But to the sinner God has said: why do you declare/ |

Transcriptionqui ordinant testam[en]tu[m] ei[us] sup[er] sacrificia. / Et annunciabunt c[a]eli iustitia ei[us]: / q[uonia]m deus iudex est. / Audi pop[u]l[u]s m[eu]s et loquar isr[ahe]l et testificabor ti[bi] / d[eu]s d[eu]s tuus ego sum. / Non in sacrificiis tuis arguam te: holocausta / autem tua in conspectu meo sunt semp[er]. / Non accipiam de domo tuo vitulos: / neq[ue] de gregib[us] tuis hyrcos. / Q[uonia]m me[a]e sunt om[ne]s fer[a]e silvarum: / iumenta in montib[us] et boves. / Cognovi om[n]ia volatilia c[a]eli: / et pulchritudo agri mecu[m] est. / Si esuriero non dica[m] tibi: / m[eu]s est eni[m] orbis terr[a]e et plentitudo ei[us]. / Numquid manducabo carnes tauror[um]: / aut sanguine[m] hycor[um] potabo. / Immola deo sacrificium laudis: / et redde altissimo vota tua. / Et invoca me indie tribulationis: et eruam te et honorificabis me. / Peccatori aute[m] dixit d[eu]s: q[ua]re tu enarras / |
