Translationmy justices: and receive my/ testament by your mouth./ Certainly you have hated discipline:/ and banished my talk behind you./ If you saw a thief you ran with him:/ and with adulterers you did put your share./ Your mouth abounded in malice: and your tongue produced sorrow./ Sitting you spoke against your brother:/ and against your mother’s son you did put/ an offence: these things you have done and I have said nothing./ You have considered unjustly that I will be like you:/ I will reprove you and set it against your face. Understand these things you that forget god:/ lest sometime he seize you violently and there be none to deliver you./ The sacrifice of praise shall glorify me:/ and there is the way by which I will show him the salvation of god./ |
