TranslationTherefore my people will return here:/ and full days shall be found in them./ And they have said how does god know:/ and is there knowledge in the highest./ Behold the sinners themselves and abounding in the times:/ they have obtained riches./ And I said then have I justified my heart without cause:/ and have washed my hands among innocents./ And have been scourged all the day:/ and my chastising in the mornings./ If I said I will speak this:/ behold I should condemn the race of children./ I thought to know this thing:/ it is labour before me./ Until I go into the sanctuary of god:/ and understand concerning their last ends./ Nevertheless on account of deceits you have put it to them./ when they were lifted up you have cast them down./ How are they brought to desolation suddenly/ they have ceased to be they have perished by reason of their injustice./ As the dream of them that awake lord in your city/ you shall bring their image to nothing./ |
