TranslationBecause my heart is inflamed: and my reins are changed: and I/ am brought to nothing and knew not./ As a beast of burden I am become with you:/ and I [am] always with you./ You have held my right hand/ and in your will you conducted me:/ and with glory you have received me./ For what have I in heaven:/ and besides you would I desire upon the earth./ My flesh has fainted away and my heart god of my heart:/ and the god my portion for ever./ For behold they that make themselves far from you shall perish:/ you have destroyed all who are disloyal to you./ But it is good for me to adhere to god:/ to put my hope the lord god./ That I may declare all your praises:/ in the gates of the daughter of syon./ |
