Translationlord: how long shall sinners glory./ Shall they utter and speak injustice:/ shall all who carry out injustice speak./ Lord they have brought low your people:/ and they have injured your inheritance./ They have slain the widow and the stranger:/ and have killed the orphans./ And they have said the lord shall not see:/ neither shall the god of iacob understand./ You foolish ones among the people understand:/ and you stupid ones be wise for once./ He who planted the ear does he not hear:/ or he who made the eye does he not look./ He who chastises nations does he not rebuke:/ he who teaches man knowledge./ The lord knows the thoughts of men:/ seeing that they are worthless./ Blessed is the man whom you shall instruct lord:/ and you shall teach from your law./ That you may give him rest from the evil days:/ until a pit is dug for the sinner./ Because the lord will not reject his people:/ |
