Translationneither will he abandon his inheritance./ Until justice be turned into judgement:/ and they who are near it are all upright of heart./ Who shall stand up for me against those who do evil:/ or who shall stand with me against those that carry out injustice./ Because unless the lord had helped me:/ my soul had almost lived in hell./ If I said my foot slips:/ lord your mercy helped me./ According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart:/ your comforts have made my soul joyful./ Does the throne of injustice stick to you:/ which arranges suffering by statute./ They will try to catch the soul of the just:/ and will condemn innocent blood./ And the lord is my refuge:/ and my god the help of my hope./ And he will repay them their injustice:/ and he will destroy them in their malice:/ the lord our god will destroy them./ |
