Translationand I am withered like grass./ But you endure forever lord:/ and your memorial from generation/ to generation./ You shall rise up [and] have mercy on sion:/ because it is time to have mercy on it because the time is come./ Because its stones have pleased your servants:/ and they shall have pity on its earth./ And the nations shall fear your name lord:/ and all the kings of the earth your glory./ Because the lord has built sion:/ and he shall be seen in his glory./ He has had regard for the prayer of the humble:/ and he has not scorned their prayer./ Let these things be written for another generation:/ and the people that shall be created shall praise the lord./ Because he has looked out from his high holy place:/ the lord has looked upon the earth from heaven./ That he might hear the groans of those in fetters:/ that he might set free the children of the slain:/ That they might declare the name of the lord in sion:/ and his praise in hierusalem./ |
