TranslationWhen the people assemble together/ and kings to serve the lord/ He answered him in the way of his strength:/ tell me the small number of my days./ Do not call me back in the midst of my days:/ your years are from generation to generation./ In the beginning lord you founded the earth:/ and the heavens are the works of your hands./ They shall perish but you remain:/ and they shall grow old like a garment./ And you shall change them like a garment/ and they shall be changed: but you yourself are the same/ and your years shall not fail./ The children of your servants shall continue to live:/ and their seed shall be directed forever./ |
