TranslationWho makes the cloud your [means of] ascent/ who walks upon the wings of the winds./ Who makes your angels spirits:/ and your ministers a burning fire./ Who has established the earth upon its own firmness:/ it shall not change forever and ever./ The deep is its clothing like a garment:/ waters shall stand upon the mountains./ At your rebuke they shall flee:/ at your voice of thunder they shall fear./ The mountains ascend and the plains descend:/ into the place which you have appointed for them./ You have set a bound which they shall not pass over:/ neither shall they return to cover the earth./ Who sends out fountains in the valleys:/ between the midst of mountains the waters shall pass./ All the beasts of the fields shall drink:/ the wild asses shall wait in their thirst./ Above them the birds of the air shall live:/ from the midst of rocks they shall give forth their voices./ Watering the mountains from your higher place:/ the earth shall be filled with the fruit of your works./ |
