Translationthat he might make his power known./ And he rebuked the red sea and it was dried up:/ and he led them through the depths as through a desert./ And he saved them from the hand of those that hated them:/ and he rescued them from the hand of the enemy./ And water covered those that afflicted them:/ there was not one of them left./ And they believed his words:/ and they sang his praises./ Soon they had done they forgot his works: and/ they did not uphold his counsel./ And they coveted lust in the desert:/ and tempted god in the place without water./ He gave them their request:/ and sent fullness into their souls./ And they provoked moyses in the camp:/ aaron the holy one of the lord./ The earth opened and swallowed dathan:/ and covered the congregation of abiron./ And a fire blazed up in their congregations:/ the flame burned the sinners./ And they made a calf in horeb:/ |
