TranslationLet his children be transformed to falter and let them beg:/ and let them be cast out of their homes./ May the usurer examine all his wealth:/ and let strangers plunder his efforts./ May there be no one to help him:/ neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children./ May his children come to destruction:/ in one generation let his name be blotted out./ May the wickedness of his fathers return to memory/ in the sight of the lord: and may the sin of his mother/ not be blotted out./ May they be before the lord always:/ and let the memory of them perish from the earth:/ instead that it is remembered he did not do mercy./ But he persecuted the destitute and poor man:/ and the broken hearted to kill him./ And he loved cursing and it shall come to him:/ and he would not blessing and it shall be far from him./ And he put on cursing like a garment:/ and it went in like water into his inner parts:/ and like oil in his bones./ Be it to him like a garment with which he is covered:/ and like a girdle with which he is always girdled./ |
