TranslationOur bones are scattered near to hell:/ but lord my eyes are to you lord:/ in you I have hoped/ do not take away my soul./ Guard me from the snare that they have set for me:/ and from the stumbling blocks of those who do injustice./ Sinners shall fall in his small net:/ I am alone until I pass by./Psalm 140: 5 [The initial is to psalm 141, but the picture inside it illustrates psalm 140] He shall correct me in mercy [on lefthand book: the just shall reproach me] [on righthand book: but the oil of the sinner] WITH MY VOICE / I have cried to the lord: with my voice/ I have prayed to the lord./ I pour out my prayer/ in his sight:/ and I announce my trouble before him./ When my spirit fails me:/ and you have known my paths./ In this way where I walked:/ they hid a snare for me./ I looked toward my right hand and saw:/ |
